A Description of the Program
General Information
Nomination Procedure for students
Nominations will be requested from Schools in Ethiopia and information about the candidates (including letters of recommendation, academic record community service will be submitted to EFE Education Advisory Committee. The candidates must obtain two letters of recommendation from their immediate teachers or school director, department heads or deans, and one from an elder of the community.
A brief report of accomplishments during the year will be requested from the EFE fellows and their immediate supervisor. Specifically, the report must indicate the academic performance, community activities targeted towards attracting his peers to do well in school so that they too become candidates for such award.

Fields of Interest:
EFE is dedicated to quality education in Ethiopia in all fields and every field could be supported.
Selection of Fellows:
There will be no discrimination because of age, race,
origin, religion, gender, or physical disability.
Timing of Awards:
The requests for nomination will be sent to the schools
by March 5, and their nominations must be received by
the Foundation by June 5, 1996. Awards will be made on or before
August 1. The level of award depends on the availability of funds
